Corero Network Security plc (“Corera”) (AIM: CNS.L), a leading provider of real-time, high-performance automatic denial of service defense solutions distributed (DDoS), announces several new features to its SmartProtect offering, as well as flexible acquisition models.
These new features make it easier than ever for service providers, hosting providers, Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs) to deliver the services to their customers.
Corero’s industry-leading DDoS protection solution as a premium value-added solution maximizing return on investment (ROI). Providers now have more control when defending a victim against saturation attacks and no longer have to block all traffic (good and bad).
Here are some of the new features:
- Increased traffic control – automated functions, such as detailed policies allowing flexible application of service level traffic control, with local and remote signaling; and the ability to exclude critical infrastructure IP addresses from automatic blocking policies.
- Flexible application at the service level – automatic real-time protection services with the flexibility to defend against the worst DDoS saturation attacks, without resorting to blocking all traffic to the victim.

SmartProtect is powered by Corero’s award-winning SmartWall solution, which automatically mitigates DDoS attacks in real time in seconds, when traditional vendor offerings do so in minutes or even tens of minutes.
SmartWall supports multiple deployment topologies and relies on a permanent DDoS mitigation architecture to automatically and accurately suppress DDoS attack traffic.
“The latest enhancements to SmartProtect make the solution even more attractive to vendors looking to generate additional recurring revenue and gain a competitive edge in the market by providing DDoS protection services to their end customers,” said said Ashley Stephenson, CTO at Corero.
