Mike Armistead and Jim Routh to Provide Strategic Advice for Growing Software Testing and Research Business
GrammaTech, a leading provider of application security testing products and software research services, today announced that two highly respected technology industry executives have joined the company’s Board of Directors. Mike Armistead is a successful entrepreneur with three decades of business leadership experience, and Jim Routh is a one the most recognized CISOs in the financial services and healthcare industries.
“Mike and Jim have decades of experience managing large organizations and growing technology businesses,” said Mike Dager, Grammatech CEO. “We are fortunate to have them on our Board. They will provide invaluable strategic advice as we enter an aggressive growth stage for the company.”
Mike Armistead is a successful entrepreneur with extensive experience growing and managing businesses from startups to large enterprises. In 2016, Mike co-founded and served as CEO for Respond Software until it was acquired in 2020 by FireEye (FEYE). He is currently SVP at FireEye. In 2003, he co-founded Fortify Software, and then served as VP & General Manager for both Fortify and ArcSight business groups after both companies were acquired by HP in 2011. Prior to Fortify, Mike held executive and key product management positions at companies including Pure Software (IBM Rational) and Lycos.

Jim Routh has served as CISO and CSO for Aetna, CVS, JP Morgan Chase, Mass Mutual, American Express, DTCC and KPMG. He is known for pioneering new digital transformation and security technologies that improve enterprise resilience and drive industry best practices. For five years he served as Board Chair for the Health Information Sharing & Analysis Center (H-ISAC) and he was a Board member for the Financial Services Information Sharing & Analysis Center (FS-ISAC). Jim has received numerous industry awards, including the Santa Fe Group/Shared Assessments Lifetime Achievement Award, the CSO Hall of Fame, ISE Luminary Award, SINET Impact Award, Evanta BreakAway Leadership Award, Information Security Executive of the Year Award (twice), and the BITS Leadership Award.
