Sonrai Security, an established leader in enterprise cloud security, strengthens its relationship with Microsoft by joining the Microsoft intelligent Security Association (MISA) for integrations with Microsoft Azure services. Sonrai Security enables customers to continuously secure workloads in Microsoft Azure deployments by eliminating the identity and data risks that were found by the patented Sonrai Dig platform.
Sonrai Dig integrates with Azure Sentinel to let users monitor unused or unnecessary permissions in their cloud deployments using the Sonrai platform and proactively remediates potential security risks within the Azure Sentinel console.
MISA is an ecosystem of independent software vendors and managed security service providers that have integrated their solutions to better defend against cyberthreats. Sonrai customers will benefit from the MISA membership by the free exchange of knowledge and intelligence with top experts from across the cybersecurity industry with the shared goal of improving customer security.
Sonrai Dig, an enterprise cloud security platform, extends CSPM with identity and data security for public clouds to also address cloud infrastructure entitlement management (CIEM), data classification, and configuration risks. This enables enterprise companies to enforce CSPM, achieve and maintain least privilege, enforce separation of duties, and lockdown critical data: all ways to minimize exposure to threats in the cloud. Built-in industry best practices with maturity modeling, workflow, advisors, and automation increases operational efficiency across DevOps and security teams.
“As Azure is critical to our business operations, its security is paramount,” said Andrew Vezina, VP and CISO at Equitable Bank. “Identity and infrastructure controls become increasingly complex with scale and innovation. At an enterprise level, the Sonrai Security platform and the team’s deep understanding of Azure cloud controls helps us to enhance our security posture and discern vulnerabilities like over privileged accounts, lack of encryption and data stores open to public access.”

Sonrai Dig integration with Azure Sentinel enables users to see all Sonrai Security alerts categorized with workload context within the Sentinel dashboard. Sonrai Security leverages analytics rules within Sentinel that can be deployed easily making remediation with Sentinel’s automation and orchestration tools fast and simple.
“We are excited to expand our collaboration with Microsoft and join MISA to address our customers’ needs by increasing our cloud security posture in a continuous manner,” stated Tilak Yalamanchili, vice president of Business Development, Sonrai Security. “With Sonrai Dig’s integration into Azure Sentinel, customers can now view the configuration, identity and data risks of a particular application or the entire cloud environment from the Sentinel dashboard, remediate the risks and apply least privilege and least access.”
“The Microsoft Intelligent Security Association has grown into a vibrant ecosystem of the most reliable and trusted security software vendors across the globe,” said Maria Thomson, Microsoft Intelligent Security Association Lead. “Our members, like Sonrai Security, share Microsoft’s commitment to collaboration within the cybersecurity community to improve our customers’ ability to predict, detect and respond to security threats faster.”
Sonrai Dig platform is available in Microsoft Azure Marketplace for procurement. Organizations wishing to use the solution can deploy directly from Azure Portal into their environment. Sonrai Security also achieved IP Co-Sell Incentivized Partner status with Microsoft Global Partner Solutions (GPS) teams to bring a joint security solution to market.
