Healthcare software firm NextGen Healthcare has experienced a data breach that has impacted around one million people. The breach occurred after an unauthorized individual gained access to some employees’ email accounts in November 2021.
NextGen Healthcare discovered the breach in December and launched an investigation. The compromised accounts contained information including names, addresses, dates of birth, and medical record numbers
The company has notified affected individuals and offered free credit monitoring and identity theft protection services.
