US President Joe Biden hires a group of national security veterans with deep cyber expertise, drawing praise from former investigators and defense officials.
According to the people familiar with the selection process, the leading candidate for the cyber director position is former high-ranking National Security Agency official Jen Easterly.
Currently the head of resilience at Morgan Stanley, Easterly has held various senior intelligence posts in the Obama administration and also helped create US Cyber Command – the country’s top cyber warfare unit.
