StarHub, the Singapore telco company, has suffered a data breach where the personal data of its customers, including email addresses and mobile numbers have been found on a dumpsite. However, the company claimed that customer databases, as well as data systems, have not been compromised.
The cybersecurity of StarHub first identified the data breach during ‘proactive online surveillance’ on July 6. The telco company, on its website while informing customers of the incident, said that it needed some time to investigate the incident and assess its impact before releasing the breach publicly.
