Air Canada has announced that the personal information of some employees was accessed in a recent cyberattack.
The national airline of Canada reported that one of its internal systems that contained “limited personal information of some employees and certain records” had been compromised by a threat actor.
The incident, in accordance with Air Canada, had no effect on its flight operations systems. Additionally, according to the business, no customer-facing systems were accessed, and no customer data was compromised during the attack.
The airline claims that it has already gotten in touch with those who were impacted by the data breach and that the incident has been reported to the appropriate authorities.
