Apple rolls down security updates for its MacOs and iOS platforms to cover some serious flaws that have already exploited its older mobile devices.
The vulnerabilities have been seen in the WebKit browsing engine, which can be exploited to capture sensitive content or launch arbitrary code execution attacks.
Due to this, Apple also rolled out iOS 17.1.2 and iPadOS 17.1.2 to fix WebKit flaws and warned that exploits could be launched through malicious web content.
The WebKit memory safety bugs, such as CVE-2023-42916 and CVE-2023-42917, have also been patched in the new MacOs Sonoma 14.1.2 and Safari 17.1.2 updates.
