Aqua Security, a company in the late stages of development within the cloud-native security platform (CNAPP) industry, has secured an extended Series E funding round worth USD 60 million, bringing its total valuation to over USD 1 billion.
Evolution Equity Partners, a new investor, led the funding round, according to the Israeli container security company. StepStone Group, Lightspeed Venture Partners, and Insight Partners—previous backers—also increased their equity stakes.
Since its establishment in 2015, Aqua Security has raised USD 325 million, and the company is publicly positioning its “unicorn” valuation as evidence of its market share and technological prowess.
