Asset risk management firm Sepio has announced that it has raised USD 22 million in Series B funding, which brings the total raised by the company to USD 37 million.
U.S. Venture Partners, Stanford University, World Trade Ventures, and angel investors also contributed to the new funding round, which was also led by them. The Rockville, Maryland-based company, which was founded in 2016, offers physical layer-based asset risk management capabilities to assist organizations in managing known and hidden IT assets at any scale.
In essence, Sepio assists companies in identifying unauthorized devices that are linked to their corporate networks and may be the gateway for cyberattacks by hostile states and organized crime.
