Atento, an international provider of business process outsourcing (BPO) and customer relationship management, has been attacked by a cyber-attack, with the brunt of the damage occurring in Brazil, the company’s largest operation in Latin America.
According to local news website Neofeed, the Madrid-based company alerted its customers on Sunday (17) about the attack against its systems in Brazil, which prompted a service outage while the company worked to control and analyze the danger.
In a statement to clients, Atento said its security team was working to limit the problem and ensure the security of the affected environments before resuming service as soon as feasible.
