Balance Theory, a seed-stage start-up working on technology to help security teams collaborate and manage data flows securely, has closed a USD 3 million funding round. According to Balance Theory, a company based in Columbia, Maryland, DataTribe led the early-stage investment with support from TEDCO.
With workflow visibility, Balance Theory is creating a “hardened collaborative workspace for cybersecurity” to aid defenders in better project tracking and communication. According to Greg Baker, CEO of Balance Theory, the goal is to create a platform that will replace the manual, unreliable, and expensive process of effective internal security communications.

The anticipated product promises DLP (data leakage prevention) tools to aid in data classification, rights management, and controls for information sharing.
