Managed detection and response provider Binary Defense announced it has raised US$ 36 million in its first funding round, which was led by Invictus Growth Partners.

Binary Defense was bootstrapped in the past. The Stow, Ohio-based company was established in 2014 to assist businesses in real-time monitoring, detection, and response to cyber-attacks. The business has adopted a Managed Open XDR model and provides a SOC-as-a-Service solution for businesses lacking the resources necessary to set up an internal security operations center. This model retrieves detections from endpoints, networks, and the cloud (SOC).
