Ian Balina — the blockchain entrepreneur, analyst, investor, and CEO of Tokenmetrics who has been very vocal about the economic impact of the pandemic on the cryptocurrency sector — made Blockfolio famous back in 2017 after posting his impressive Blockfolio screenshots on Instagram.
A significant security vulnerability was discovered in Blockfolio’s source code recently. The vulnerability in the previous versions of the application has enabled hackers to steal closed source code and manipulate the data by introducing their individual code in Blockfolio’s GitHub repository and eventually into the app itself.
After proper evaluation of the cryptocurrency platforms by Paul Litvak — the weakness was
uncovered and confirmed.
