Career Group, Inc., an administrative staffing agency, began sending notification letters to customers affected by a data breach that happened in late June this week.
The staffing and recruiting firm, based in Los Angeles, provides full-time and temporary placement services in direct hire and freelancing employment at companies in a variety of industries.
According to the company, the data breach occurred between June 28 and July 7. On July 2, the organization discovered “potential unauthorized access to its network” and took the required precautions to prevent it.
Law enforcement was also notified of the occurrence, and an investigation was launched, which showed unlawful access to customer data.
