CDW has announced the acquisition of a cybersecurity organization named Focal Point Data Risk for an undisclosed amount.
Focal Point’s “array of security consulting, customer workforce skills development, and professional services capabilities,” according to Christine Leahy, CEO of CDW, will help companies expand their portfolio and improve their potential to address threats posed by malicious cyber threats and the cyber workforce curtailments, and help customers successfully navigate shifting data protection laws.
According to Leahy, helping customers use technology to protect their most sensitive data is vital to the goal. Focal Point said in a statement that it serves a wide range of customers in industries that are highly regulated and sophisticated.
