Jen Easterly, CISA director, unveiled a new cyber defense collaborative in which federal agencies will collaborate on preventive cybersecurity measures with Google, Microsoft, Verizon, and others.
Easterly announced the program in an interview with the Wall Street Journal before expanding on it at the Black Hat security conference.
The Joint Cyber Defense Collaborative (JCDC), according to the newly-appointed head of CISA, will bring individuals together in peace time so that they can plan for how they will respond in war time.
On Twitter, Easterly stated that the JCDC will exchange information in order to help them better understand cyber defense challenges and opportunities.
