Cisco intends to acquire Valtix, an early-stage Silicon Valley cloud network security startup, to bolster its cybersecurity portfolio. Valtix is a startup in the cloud network security industry.
The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Four years ago, Valtix, a Series A startup that emerged from stealth mode, raised USD 26.5 million in venture capital funding. In a note announcing the acquisition, the chief product officer of Cisco Security, Raj Chopra, stated that the Valtix technology aligns with the company’s vision to provide “a global, cloud-delivered, integrated networking and security platform for organizations of all sizes.”
In 2020, Cisco made a strategic investment in Valtix, and Chopra reported that the company has developed a product that simplifies network security.
