US President Joe Biden said in a press conference that he and Russian President Vladimir Putin have agreed to bring together cybersecurity experts from the two countries to develop “specific understandings about what’s off limits” from cyber activity.
Biden’s remarks came after a nearly four-hour meeting in Geneva with Putin, which included a conversation about cybersecurity.
“Responsible countries need to take action against criminals who conduct ransomware activities on their territory,” Biden said. He further said he provided Putin a list of 16 critical infrastructure sectors that should be “off limits” to hacking, including energy and water.
