Splunk has released patches for multiple vulnerabilities in Splunk Enterprise, including a high-severity bug affecting Windows instances.
The high-severity flaw is related to the incorrect sanitization of path input data. This results in the unsafe deserialization of untrusted data from a separate disk partition.
Splunk Enterprise versions 9.0.8 and 9.1.3 resolve the security defect. In addition, several other medium-severity exposures and multiple flaws in third-party packages used within the data monitoring and analysis solution were also resolved in these releases.
