A group of five security risks can lead to a list of adverse effects for virtual machine enthusiasts, including command execution and DoS. VMware has released an important security update to address issues in its ESXi, Fusion and Workstation products, which include versions of the VMware Cloud Foundation. Exploitation can give attackers access to many activities within the visible areas of organizations.
Distributors range in scores 5.3 to 8.4 out of 10 on the CVSS risk scale, which makes them all “essential” or “moderate” for each problem. However, the giant of virtualization noted that they could be tied together for the worst possible consequences: “Combining these problems can cause great frustration, which is why the sharpness of this advice is so high.”
