CrowdStrike, the cybersecurity behemoth, has announced plans to buy Flow Security, a cloud data runtime security solution, to strengthen its cloud security capabilities and provide protection for data in motion and at rest for both endpoint and cloud settings.
Flow’s Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) technology detects, categorizes, and secures sensitive data at rest and in motion, across public clouds, on-premises infrastructure, and SaaS platforms. CrowdStrike intends to integrate Flow Security’s technology into the CrowdStrike Falcon XDR platform following the acquisition, with the goal of providing an advanced cloud data protection platform.
The acquisition’s terms were not disclosed, but CrowdStrike claims it will be paid primarily in cash, with a part transferred in the form of shares subject to vesting rules.
