CrowdStrike has overhauled its processes by addressing a major July outage that disrupted Windows systems globally. Testifying before a House Subcommittee, VP Adam Meyers detailed new protocols for software updates, code validation, and testing.
These changes stem from a July 2024 incident where a Falcon platform update caused system failures. Meyers explained that an update mismatch led to system crashes, prompting enhancements in validation checks and testing procedures. These improvements ensure updates match threat detection configurations accurately and undergo extensive scenario testing, reducing the risk of future disruptions.
