CNA Financial, a cyber-insurance firm in the U.S. was allegedly hit by a ‘sophisticated cybersecurity attack’ a couple of weeks ago. The cyber-attack impacted the company’s employee and customer services for a few days as the organization shut down ‘out of an excess of caution’ to stop further compromise.
The insurance firm published a statement on its website to inform the public that it had suffered from a sophisticated cybersecurity attack. Moreover, the cyber-attack had created a network disruption and hit some CNA systems, including corporate email.
Furthermore, the firm added that it hired forensic experts and law enforcement to carry out its investigations.
