Early-stage start-up Dasera from Silicon Valley has received USD 12 million in venture capital funding to promote innovation in the field of data security and governance.
Storm Ventures led the Series A funding round, bringing Dasera’s total funding raised to USD 20 million. Additionally, Correlation Ventures, Mighty Capital, Tau Ventures, Intuitive Cloud, and current investors Sierra Ventures and Saama Capital made equity investments in the company, according to Dasera.
Dasera competes in the crowded field of data security posture management, where start-ups of all sizes are vying to automate the ongoing detection and mitigation of threats in multi-cloud deployments.
