The results of the Hack US one-week bug bounty challenge, which took place from July 4 to July 11, 2022, were revealed this week by the US Department of Defense (DoD) and HackerOne.

The vulnerability disclosure program (VDP) for the Department of Defense (DoD) was extended by the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO) Directorate for Digital Services and the Department of Defense Cyber Crime Center (DC3), and it used the HackerOne bug bounty platform.

A total bounty pool of US$110,000 was made available by the DoD, consisting of US$75,000 in rewards for submitted vulnerability reports and US$35,000 in bonus awards. The challenge attracted 267 ethical hackers in total, 139 of whom were brand-new to DoD’s VDP
