Dope.security Emerges from Stealth with a New Secure Web Gateways Strategy

Dope.security this week emerged from stealth mode with a USD 4 million investment from Boldstart Ventures and a new approach to secure web gateways.

Secure web gateways (SWG), which are placed in between a user and the internet, provide network protection by inspecting all web requests and obstructing malicious programs and websites. Dope. security uses a direct-to-internet (fly-direct) delivery method to deliver security directly to the endpoint, doing away with the outdated stopover datacenter architecture.

The startup says its direct-to-cloud proxy solution can shield businesses from web-based threats while also enhancing performance and reducing downtime. Run on the endpoint, the company’s cloud-managed dope.swg solution syncs with Office 365 and Google to import zero-trust policies.
