Elite underground online criminal forum Mazafaka has been compromised by unknown attackers, making it the fourth forum to have been hacked since the beginning of 2021.
The breach is said to have occurred on March 3, with information about the forum members — including usernames, hashed passwords, and email addresses — publicly disclosed on a breach notification page put up by the attackers, stating “This forum has been hacked” and “Your data has been leaked.”
Maza is an elite, invite-only Russian-language hacking and cybercrime forum operational since 2003, acting as an exclusive online space for threat actors to trade ransomware-as-a-service tools and conduct other forms of illegal cyber operations.
