F5 Networks, an enterprise networking equipment provider, recently announced the acquisition of Threat Stack, a cloud security company, for $68 million.
To “improve visibility across application infrastructure and workloads,” F5 said it was excited to combine its application and API protection capabilities with Threat Stack’s cloud security solutions.
Threat Stack delivers technology and personnel “that will boost F5’s security capabilities” and promote the company’s adaptive applications strategy with expanded cloud observability and actionable security insights for customers, according to Haiyan Song, executive vice president of Security at F5.
Protecting applications, which are the backbone of today’s digital organizations, is mission-critical for our customers, according to Song.
