Hackers are most likely to spread misinformation regarding the voting systems and hacked voter information, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) have warned in a recent announcement. Both the agencies issued an alert on the potential campaigns targeted at sharing hate speech, false information on the election results.
As a result, people have been urged to double-check all possible information sources to ensure their validity. FBI and CISA said users should make sure the data they receive comes from reliable sources like state or local polling officials.
