Symphony Technology Group (STG), a private equity firm, announced the merger of McAfee Enterprise and the recently acquired FireEye Products into a single entity with annual revenue of US$2 billion.
The combined business, which will continue to provide security products for endpoints, applications, infrastructure, and cloud deployments, will be led by Bryan Palma of Menlo Park, Calif.-based STG.
The STG announcement is the newest chapter in McAfee’s rocky corporate saga. McAfee Corp sold the McAfee Enterprise business to a consortium led by STG in an all-cash transaction estimated at US$4 billion in March of this year.
