Mozilla has recently announced the release of Firefox 87 in its stable channel fitted with an innovative, intelligent tracker blocking tool.
The solution works in Firefox private browsing as well as strict mode. It is meant to enhance the browsing experience of users by fixing pages. As explained by Mozilla, “To reduce this breakage, Firefox 87 is now introducing a new privacy feature we are calling SmartBlock. SmartBlock intelligently fixes up web pages that are broken by our tracking protections, without compromising user privacy.”
Basically, Firefox has a built-in content blocking solution since 2015 to block third-party images, scripts, and other content – if loaded from identified cross-site tracking companies.
