Frontier Communications suffered a cyberattack on April 14th, resulting in certain systems being shut down to contain the incident. The company believes it has contained the incident, restored its core information technology environment, and restored normal business operations.
The attack was likely the work of a cybercrime group that gained access to various data types, including personally identifiable information. Frontier has notified law enforcement, and the attack has not affected customers’ internet service.
