GetReal Labs has emerged from stealth mode after being incubated for two years by Ballistic Ventures and UC Berkeley Professor Hany Farid. They have received additional investment from Venrock. The firm aims to combat malicious manipulated content and deepfakes by authenticating content, detecting deception, and protecting firms and users worldwide from inauthentic profiles on social media, voice scams, manipulated images, and other types of deepfakes.
Their advanced authentication and protection capabilities aim to provide real-time detection and a deep understanding of risks, support forensic analysis, and help organizations make confident decisions.
