Golden Corral, a US restaurant chain, is informing approximately 180,000 customers that their personal information was stolen in a data breach.
According to the company, the incident occurred on August 15, 2023, and caused disruptions to certain corporate operations. The subsequent investigation revealed that a threat actor accessed specific systems and “acquired certain data relating to current and former employees and beneficiaries between August 11, 2023 and August 15, 2023.”
The recently concluded review of the compromised data revealed that it contains names, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, financial account information, medical information, health insurance information, and credentials.
