Google has recently released its Android operating system patch updates for May 2021 with a total of 42 vulnerabilities. This includes four critical severity vulnerabilities.
Addressed as an element of the 2021-05-01 security patch level, three critical flaws were found in the system component. They could be exploited remotely for executing arbitrary code on a vulnerable device.
As explained by Google, “The most severe of these issues is a critical security vulnerability in the System component that could enable a remote attacker using a specially crafted file to execute arbitrary code within the context of a privileged process.”
