Google has recently announced about the extension of its capabilities of Cloud Armor, a solution that offers protection from DDoS attacks. It also has a web application firewall (WAF) to keep users safe from web attacks.
The service is publicly available since 2019, and leverages the same infrastructure and technology which Google uses to protect its internet-facing properties.
To enhance the service capabilities, the tech giant launched Cloud Armor Adaptive Protection – a solution that leverages machine learning to fend off Layer 7 DDoS attacks. At present (in preview mode), the new functionality is accessible to all Cloud Armor customers.
