To provide better resiliency and safety for customer data, Google Cloud has released two new storage options and expanded its Cloud Storage offering.
Filestore Enterprise and Backup for Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) are the two new offerings. For dual-region buckets, Cloud Storage is being modified to allow users to choose their preferred locations. In Cloud Storage, Google is also introducing a new 15-minute Recovery Point Objective (RPO).
As more data moves to the cloud, the company ensures that consumers have continuous availability and protection, according to Guru Pangal, Google’s VP and GM of storage.
