Google has launched a new open-source plugin for its Bazel build system called “rules_docker” that scans container images for vulnerabilities.
The plugin uses Google Container Registry’s Container Analysis API to identify known vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with industry standards.
The plugin is designed to be easily integrated into existing Bazel-based build pipelines, and by scanning container images during the build process, developers can address security issues early in the development cycle. This move is part of Google’s ongoing efforts to improve container security.
