Google has recently announced the availability of a range of monthly patches for its Android OS – which contains fixes for about 30 vulnerabilities. The first part of the update addressed a total of 17 flaws in the Android runtime, Media Framework, Framework, and System components.
The most critical flaws were traced as CVE-2020-0449. This bug could be exploited to execute any code remotely. The other vulnerabilities found were of high severity – including elevation of privilege, information disclosure, and denial of service bug.
The tech giant mentioned that these critical issues could enable a proximal threat actor to execute arbitrary code – in the context of a privileged process.
