The Israeli threat intelligence firm Hudson Rock has discovered credentials associated with cybercrime forums on approximately 120,000 infected computers.
According to Hudson Rock, the systems were found when a database of more than 14.5 million infected computers, many of which are hacker computers—was analyzed. The researchers claim that it is possible to identify the real identities of the hackers by using the various types of information that these malware families collect from the infected systems.
Such information frequently consists of system details, auto-fill data, and login credentials for additional online accounts.
