Hackers Use Tricky SEO Strategies to Deliver Malware Payloads-01

Threat actors are now using new attack strategies, wherein they use Google SEO to deploy malware payloads. This strategy takes advantage of SEO tricks and human psychology to improve the ranking of compromised websites in Google search results.

Recently, researchers also discovered a new SEO strategy in use by Gootloader- an advanced infection framework for the Gootkit RAT – that can further deliver other malware payloads. This method has been used to spread malware, such as Cobalt Strike, Kronos, and REvil ransomware. 

These attacks have been observed in countries such as Germany, South Korea, France, and the US
