Taiwan-based QNAP Systems, which has flaws in its operating system with a high severity, announced patches for twelve vulnerabilities in its product portfolio.
As a prototype pollution flaw that could enable remote attackers “to override existing attributes with ones that have an incompatible type, which may cause the system to crash,” QNAP describes CVE-2023-39296 as the first of the high-severity issues. With the release of QTS 5.1.3.2578 build 20231110 and
QuTS hero h5.1.3.2578 build 20231110, the bug that affected QTS versions 5.1.x and h5.1.x was fixed. The Netatalk security flaw CVE-2022-43634 is also fixed in the two releases.
