Hornetsecurity has acquired IT-Seal, a company that specializes in security awareness training. Hornetsecurity has made a slew of growth-boosting acquisitions since the beginning of the year.
The company wants to expand its personnel and international network of channel partners with the support of Verdane, a specialist Northern European growth equity investor, and PSG Equity, a premier growth equity firm. Hornetsecurity will use IT-unique Seal’s technology to train personnel, as well as a scientific, patented security awareness indicator (Employee Security Index – ESI) to measure and compare security awareness.
David Kelm, Alex Wyllie, and Yannic Ambach, the three co-founders, will remain on board and continue to develop the product and its variety of services.
