According to a research done by industrial asset and network monitoring business SynSaber, the US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) disclosed more than 600 product vulnerabilities for industrial control system (ICS) in the first half of 2022.
Approximately 681 vulnerabilities were reported by CISA, according to SynSaber, which is an increase from the first half of 2021. It’s important to remember that CISA does not release warnings for all ICS faults that have been made public, thus the actual number of concerns exposed between January and June may be larger.
Before taking any action, organizations may need to wait for the impacted OEM vendor to approve patching and they must assess the operational risks.
