IBM and AMD have announced a multi-year joint development partnership. The companies will collaborate on advancing security and AI for hybrid cloud environments. This collaboration will establish AMD’s place in hybrid cloud environments and give data centers a bigger role to play in the enterprise.

IBM and AMD will work on open system architectures, open-source software, and open standards to drive Confidential Computing in hybrid cloud environments. The collaboration will also support a broad range of accelerators across high-performance computing and enterprise-critical capabilities such as virtualization and encryption.
AMD and IBM researchers are currently working on joint development activities.
