Vendors of industrial control systems (ICS) and other organizations have issued advisories to fix a couple of serious DoS vulnerabilities affecting Wibu-Systems’ widely used licensing and DRM solution.
Cybersecurity firm Tenable found the flaws in Wibu’s CodeMeter product in April and published an advisory describing the issues — complete with proof-of-concept (PoC) code — on June 15.
The more serious of the Tenable flaws affects the CodeMeter Runtime network server, and it allows an unauthenticated attacker to remotely access heap memory contents or crash the CodeMeter Runtime server by delivering specially crafted TCP/IP packets
