Immuta Inc., a data security startup, has raised $90 million from a diverse community of investors, including Dell Technologies Inc. and Intel Corp.’s venture capital arms.
Immuta is a software company that helps businesses protect their data from unauthorized access. Data access policies have traditionally had to be enforced separately for each device in which an organization stores data.
As a result, enforcing cybersecurity policies systematically is difficult. Immuta’s platform, according to the company, solves the problem by allowing administrators to handle data from a single, centralized location. In an interview, Immuta co-founder and Chief Technology Officer Steve Touw explained that it all comes down to scalability.
