Intel has announced new and improved security features for the latest vPro platform and its premium Core Ultra processors.
According to the chip giant, the latest vPro platform is powered by the entire 14th Generation Core processor lineup. The new Intel Core Ultra processors are intended to power artificial intelligence PCs for businesses, with dedicated AI acceleration capabilities spread across the CPU, GPU, and a new neural processing unit (NPU).
In terms of new security features, Intel introduced the Silicon Security Engine, a tool that enables hardware-based authentication for system firmware, thereby protecting devices from threats aimed below the operating system.
