Intellihartx notified approximately 490,000 individuals that their personal information was compromised in a cyberattack known as the GoAnywhere zero-day attack. The incident occurred earlier this year and was disclosed in early February and has been linked to the notorious Cl0p ransomware gang. The attack exploited a zero-day vulnerability in Fortra’s GoAnywhere managed file transfer (MFT) software.
This vulnerability, identified as CVE-2023-0669, allowed for remote code execution and had been actively exploited since January 28. One week after the attack became public knowledge, a patch was released to address the issue.
